Presenters

Amy Owen: Since May 2012, Amy Owen has served as executive director of the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties and named President & CEO in 2018. She also is a Founding Board Member of the Loudoun Estate Planning Council. Her work focuses on building permanently endowed resources to benefit the local community as well as adding to the enrichment and capacity of our local nonprofit leaders.

Cris Wineinger: President of Wineinger & Associates, Cris Wineinger has more than 20 years experience in all aspects of fund raising and non-profit management in Bermuda and the United States. Mrs. Wineinger’s clients include Churches, private schools, environmental agencies, cultural organizations, social service providers and hospitals. Her consulting services encompass capital campaign management, annual fund campaigns, and strategic planning for non-profits. In the last 20 years, Mrs. Wineinger has provided guidance to fundraising campaigns totaling more than $150 million.

About the Nonprofit Academy
In partnership with the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce and its Nonprofit Initiative, the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties launched an ongoing workshop and training program for area nonprofits called the Nonprofit Academy. Each year, more than 200 attendees join workshops on fundraising, administration and HR, and publicity and outreach to teach such topics as Fundamentals of Fundraising, Board Speed Dating, Quickbooks training, Grantwriting and Grantor Research, Leadership Development, Meet the Media, and more.
