Calling nonprofit executives! Join our Executive Director/CEO Retreat, a program of the Community Foundation’s Social Impact Institute deeper-dive learning opportunities for nonprofit leaders.

This retreat is an opportunity to connect with fellow nonprofit executive directors and CEOs, learn from experts on meaningful topics that impact nonprofit leaders, and continue to build a community of intentional peer support among nonprofit leaders in Loudoun and northern Fauquier.

  • Nonprofit Executive and Board Relationship: A Review of “Leading with Intent” Data and Trends, Nicole Acosta, Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties

Together participants will:

  • evaluate their own personal leadership styles and take a deep dive into leveraging the science of how to interact and collaborate with staff and our board to enhance impact through intentional communication and leadership;
  • explore strategies for successful succession planning as leaders;
  • learn how to help board members understand financial reports including your 990 and audit;
  • explore data and trends in the nonprofit sector related to the executive and board relationship

This retreat will be interactive and include self-reflection, allow for and encourage questions among experts and peers, and provide opportunity for guided group discussions. Attendees are encouraged to be prepared to be fully engaged for the optimal experience by committing to the full-day program.

Breakfast and lunch is included. Snacks and beverages will be provided throughout the day.

Eligibility

The content of this retreat is designed for full or part-time executive directors of nonprofit organizations with at least one paid staff position. Eligible participants must be the current executive director or CEO of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity serving Loudoun or Northern Fauquier counties. Space is limited.
