100 Women Strong logo100WomenStrong granted $296,935 to 32 area nonprofit organizations to help them initiate, complete or supplement programs in 2019. With this year’s funding, the philanthropic group has now given more than $2 million to Loudoun County nonprofits to support transformational change in the areas of shelter, health, hunger and education.

“It is an honor to be a part of an effort that has donated more than $2 million over the last decade to so many organizations that do the hard work every day of helping fill gaps for those who are hungry, need shelter, need educational support or who need mental health services, among other things,” said Karen G. Schaufeld, 100WomenStrong founder and president. “We started out with 12 members and have grown to more than 50. Our goal is to reach 100 members to increase the amount we can donate so that all Loudoun County residents can achieve their full potential as active, contributing members of our community.”
